Job Description

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for performing day to day testing of product updates and resolving client support issues and questions. This position works within a team to provide coverage in testing and support to multiple product lines and initiatives. Interaction is required with development management and staff, client services managers, account management and product management. This position also requires writing and maintaining automated test scripts.


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Develops and executes test plans and scripts on new / enhanced products and client implementations
• Actively participate in technical and functional specification reviews
• Identifies, investigates, reports and tracks defects to closure
• Manages client support cases to successful resolution, including troubleshooting reported issues
• Works with product management, internal development and implementation teams as needed to perform quality assurance testing and client support duties
• Fields customer inquiries regarding system functionality
• Creates, maintains and executes automated scripts using HP’s Quality Center (QuickTest Pro)

Job Requirements

Essential Qualifications (Skills, Background, and Education)

• 4+ years of QA and / or development experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or technical degree preferred
• Proficient in SQL
• Proficient in creating automated scripts using QuickTest Pro
• Exposure to formalized QA process and methodology is required
• Experience with testing web based applications is required
• Experience working with development and implementation teams
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Manual testing experience is required, automation experience preferred


Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of health care and prescription drug marketplace a plus
• Experience working remotely with internal and external clients
