Description
Key Role:
*Junior Analyst, Financial and Business Reporting and Analysis for the Health Systems Office, Veterans Health Administration (VHA)
*Participates in the VA, Office of Health Information, Health Systems research and reporting activities.
*Collects and validates data for weekly, monthly and on-demand reports in support of senior Health Systems leadership requirements.
*Develops performance metrics and measures research and reporting activities against those metrics.
*Adapts and edits databases to support Health Systems requirements.
*Manipulates data in response to Health Systems management requests.
*Interacts with various levels of Health Systems management.
*Interacts with client to help ensure user satisfaction.
*Prepares inputs for the weekly and monthly project reports for the Project Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
*U.S citizen.
*Candidate will be subject to a background investigation and must receive a favorable adjudication from the VA Office of Security and Law Enforcement / Security and Investigation Center (SIC).
*Bachelor’s Degree – preferably in Business, Computer Science, Financial Management or related discipline.
*1 year relevant experience in a financial/project management environment – preferably with IT program experience.
*Experienced in using Microsoft Excel and FileMaker Pro.
*Resumes must reflect demonstrated relevant work experience similar in scope to above description of duties.
Additional Qualifications:
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Knowledge of IT for large scale healthcare systems desired.
*Knowledge of Federal funding mechanisms and the annual appropriations process desired.
*Experience in VHA’s Health Systems a plus.
*Active VA security adjudication is desired.
